Kate O'Brien MS, MSHA, CMC, CDP has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University, a Master of Science Degree in Counseling from University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Science Degree in Health Systems Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology. Kate is a Certified Geriatric Care Manager/Life Aging Professional, a Certified Dementia Practitioner as well as a Certified Eden Alternative Educator.

Kate has been practicing as a geriatric care professional for over 35 years. She has worked in such settings as nursing homes, assisted living communities as well as geriatric community care management settings to include starting up a geriatric community care management position in an elder law attorney's practice. In each of these positions, she has dedicated her focus on utilizing her skill set and growing knowledge of older adults and their caregivers. Be it locating community resources in the area that will enable the older adult to remain in their home, to looking for other senior living alternatives, Kate will make certain to guide, support and even counsel both the client and their loved ones along the way. Kate believes in the inherit rights of the older adult and that their dignity must always be respected and come first.
